Lithgow City Council had previously expected the pressure problems to continue for up to two to three weeks.

Repair works were undertaken on Thursday, May 2 to replace the valve that had failed.

To overcome this issue Council has reconfigured the network to reduce further damage from increased pressure until the PRV can be replaced.
The reconfiguration is expected to effect some residents of Portland who will receive low pressure as a result.
