Crowds marched down Wallerawang Main Street to commemorate ANZAC day on Thursday, April 25.

The march was followed by a service at the cenotaph and war memorial in Federation Park at 9am.
Returned servicemen, families, Lithgow City Councillors and school students joined in to lay wreaths, read prayers and poems and to pay their respects.

Cr Joe Smith said he came to march for his dad Ronald Smith who served in WWII in Korea and Borneo.
"I am honoured to wear his medals and come here to thank those who fought and continue to fight for our country and our freedom," he said.
Cr Smith also said he was impressed with Wallerawang's turnout.
