Cr Cassandra Coleman made the suggestion as a way to promote reusable bottles and to help people stay hydrated in our areas of high activity.
"The last few months have been some of the hottest on record and this is a way to help with the hydration of our young ones and the elderly," she said.
Councillors voted in favour of investigating their installation for high traffic areas around the shire.
