Taking his place in the Regional Big Bash side for the first time in 2018, Singh, who was 16 at the time the match was played, was part of the Central West Wranglers team which took on the ACT Aces on February 5.
It was the first time he had been selected to be part of the team and "this year, thankfully, the team got to the SCG," Tanvir said.
"To play there was awesome," he said.
"You never get a chance to play in that huge a stadium. The field, the wicket itself, is more consistent than anything I've played on before."
It was a nerve-wracking experience for the young bowler, and his nerves showed in his first over. Opening the bowling, he was hit for 15. A missed opportunity for a catch off his second over was also painful to watch.
Singh said it was the best experience he had ever had on the cricket field, despite a loss to the ACT and a relatively small crowd,
"It's amazing, it's just got all this history..."
He recently celebrated his 17th birthday and is currently in Year 12 at La Salle Academy. He recently underwent trials for the CCC (Catholic schools) under 19's squad.
After a slow start to his season with the St Pat's team in the Bathurst district competition, Singh said he was starting to feel he was bowling well.
"I'm finding my rhythm, and bowling quick again now," he said.
He hopes his team can better their runner-up finish in the 2017-2018 season with a win this year.
Singh will also be part of the St Pat's Twenty20 team to contest the semi-finals of the Bonnor Cup at Wade Park on March 1, playing against the Cavaliers.
"It's a great experience to play under lights and it's a great facility at Wade Park," he said.
The team will be playing for a spot in the final.
Next year Singh hoped to continue to pursue his passion for cricket in Sydney.
