Police have stated that an investigation into a child being approached by a man at Blackheath on Tuesday, February 19, was the result of a misunderstanding.

Officers from Blue Mountains Police Area Command were investigating a report of a child approach involving an eleven-year-old girl on Govetts Leap Road, Blackheath.
Police were told the girl had been approached after she got off a school bus in the afternoon, with the man running and pointing towards her.
Following inquiries and after speaking with the man, police stated they were satisfied the incident was not a child approach, but instead a misunderstanding, as the man was running to catch what he thought was a public bus.
