Starring Robert Douglas and Luis Trenker, the film is about the first successful ascent of the Matterhorn in 1865 by Edward Whymper.
Plus ‘To Sir With Love’ (1967, PG), starring Sidney Poitier, Judy Geeson, Christian Roberts and Patricia Routledge. An excellent film, it is about novice teacher Poitier assigned to a London school and how he gained respect from his rough-and-tumble students. Extremely well acted movie with the title song sung by Lulu.
Screenings are on Friday, February 8 at 10.30am and Sunday, February 10 at 2pm.
The film will screen at Lithgow Valley Film Society’s Main Street cinema.
