Amid the normal chaos of getting everyone back to school, some of our little ones are getting ready to make their very first appearance at primary school.
It was a very special first day for the kindergarten students at St Patrick’s Primary School in Lithgow on Wednesday, with other schools having their kindergarten students start on various days over the next week.
When the Lithgow Mercury asked brand new St Pat’s student Hannah Garvey said the most exciting part of being at school was “being in the same playground with my brother”, who is starting Year 2.
There are just five girls in the kindergarten class of 20 students and everyone is looking forward to a fun-filled year.
