“We volunteeer to do something every week, and we love to help out, especially on days like today.
“It’s Australia Day that’s what we love about it, coming down here,” he said.
Mr Neubeck said on Australia Day the club would have served 350 sausage sandwiches, 200 serves of dampers and over 300 cans of soft drink and water bottles.
He also said he loved coming down to celebrate “the lucky country.”
“The fact is we are here to celebrate living in the best country in the world, it’s as simple as that,” he said.
Mr Neubeck said the Lions Club are always looking for extra volunteers.
“We have good times, and everyday is fun and we enjoy helping other people,” he said.
