The 21 year-old will compete from Thursday, January 24 to Sunday, January 27.
Case will take on the beach on day one with his Star Strength team, together they will complete a 500 metre swim, burpees, kettlebell thrusters and more.
The next three days of competition will see them at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, where they will compete in all things CrossFit.
Due to competing in a team with people from Sydney Case said he felt he needed to pull his weight.
“I’m not too familiar with everyone but more so I just don’t want to let the team down,” he said.
“I want to be able to hold my own and be able to compete in that way.”
Case predicted there was going to be some high level competition this year.
“The teams are pretty stacked this year, a lot of the individual competitors have gone to teams so there are going to be some pretty high level teams there,” he said.
This time I’m in a team but next year I want to go individual, that’s the main goal.

He also said he planned on competing again next year but as an individual.
“This time I’m in a team but next year I want to go individual, that’s the main goal,” he said.
Case said he first got into CrossFit about five years ago when he saw it on the TV and loved the look of it.
“I just came in and gave it a go and now I like the challenge of it there’s always something to work on so it’s always good, you don’t get bored of it,” he said.
After three years of working at Club Revive he developed a passion for the sport and had since been working towards competitions.
“I quit footy two years ago now to concentrate on this [CrossFit],” he said.
After devoting himself to the sport he was able to qualify for the Gold Coast Championships after participating in a number of sanctioned events.
“There was a two week online qualifier where there was five workouts and then you had to qualify in a certain position to get to this next stage [the championships],” he said.
Leading up to the event Case said he had been training hard to be ready.
“I train twice a day Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, Thursday is a recovery day and Saturday is one session and Sunday is recovery,” he said.
The young CrossFit star was also lucky enough to get his CrossFit family behind him and organise support shirts designed by Nat Cummings and made by Stitch ‘em up.
“I didn’t know about it until it was out but they were expecting maybe 20-30 shirts and it’s up to 80 now, I’m very grateful,” he said.
Case wanted to thank the community for their ongoing support in his CrossFit journey.
“The local support’s been really good, unreal how many people have got involved and the amount of money raised really helps,” he said.
