A grant of $97,448 will come from the Stronger Country Communities Fund to enable the club to upgrade its outdoor area.
The improvements will include the installation of an area around the bowling green with paths and shades to replace those lost in a snow storm back in 2014.
There will also be a recreation and barbecue area which will provide a year-round facility for sporting presentations as well as use by members and their guests.
The fence along the storm water drain on Lithgow Street will also be replaced to improve the club’s appearance.
Mr Toole said the upgrades would have the opportunity to attract more members in the future.
“People enjoy coming to clubs like this, it’s not only the dining room that’s providing great foods, it’s the entertainment and it’s where people can come and socialise,” he said.
Club Lithgow has more than 140 bowlers and more than 300 members who will benefit from the upgrades according to Mr Toole.
“That’s why I’m thrilled to see $97,000 given to these guys and I look forward to seeing the work and progress on the site,” he said.

The club also sponsors sporting bodies including Lithgow District senior and junior cricket, Zig Zag hockey and seniors.
“Many groups will be able to make use of the recreation area for regular social activities,” Mr Toole said.
He also said it was a privilege to be able to help the club with its much needed upgrades.
“It’s really nice to be able to help these guys who continue to look after the club and keep the history behind it. Club Lithgow have a good plan for the club, a vision,” he said.
Club Lithgow president Wayne Allan wanted to thank Mr Toole for the work he did in getting the grant.
“We are very much appreciative of what you do for us, you’re a good friend of ours and we are appreciative of what you do for the club industry,” he said.
He also wanted to thank vice president Warren Kennedy and former CEO Lee Green for their hard work.
