Currently the store offers the iconic Raspberry and Cola flavours, one low sugar flavour and another flavour option.
“At the moment we’ve got Honey Dew as our low sugar flavour and Sour Pineapple as another, we’d love another machine but we’ll have to go with what we've got for now,” 7-Eleven store manager Barry King said.
According to 7-Eleven the most popular low sugar flavours in Lithgow were Lemon Lime Bitters and Wild Berry Cream.
Mr King said throughout the course of summer the store would launch some more exciting low sugar flavours including Watermelon Lime, Coco Berry Passion, Grape and Mango Cream.
“We like to provide a choice for our customers and Slurpee's are a big part of our business, so we’ve made a low sugar range to accommodate those who would like a healthier option or those who can’t have sugar,” he said.
He also said recently low sugar Cola was released so coke drinkers now had another option.
“The beauty of these flavours is that a large cup only contains one-fifth of a teaspoon of sugar, that’s less than one percent,” Mr King said.

Mr King also said the local response to the new range had been terrific with customers including kids, weight watchers and health conscious people picking the low sugar option.
“Our customers can now buy a large Slurpee and not have to worry about the sugar intake,” he said.
He also said 7-Eleven was known for the Slurpee and it was all about the experience and he wanted to keep it that way.
“We’ve done this to accommodate our customers and it's [7-Eleven] the only place in Australia where you can purchase a low sugar Slurpee.
“It’s 7-Eleven, it’s summer, the experience, the mixing and matching and making your own.”
Mr King said people love it and he loved seeing the machines going 24/7.
“I love seeing them come in all hours of the night, it’s incredible,” he said.
Mr King also said the company were not only providing healthier Slurpee options, but also providing a choice in food, offering salads and wraps.
He also said the company held events for customers a couple of times a year.
“We do bring your own cup day where you can fill whatever you like for just one dollar and we also celebrate 7-Eleven Day and people love that kind of stuff,” he said.
