Fire crews were called to an unoccupied house on a rural property at Lowther at about 7pm on Saturday night, December 8.

The house on Marsden Swamp Road was well alight and eight crews attended, including Rural Fire Service crews from Marangaroo, South Bowenfels, Hartley, Lowther and Hampton as well as and Fire and Rescue.
Fire-fighters remained at the site until midnight. The entire structure was destroyed.
Crews returned to the site on Sunday to check on the site and put out any remaining fires.
Over the weekend, Rural Fire Service crews attended three car fires, one at Wiagdon near Wattle Flat, one at Wisemans Creek and another at Raglan. The cause of the fires, which were not believed to be related, is being investigated.
