The show was in celebration of La Salle Feast Day and demonstrated the exceptional talent of the school’s students.
La Salle music and religion teacher Mary Wright said the students discussed ways in which to celebrate the day.
“We talked about it and how to celebrate catholic education, and we thought what better way than to show off the amazing talent of our students,” she said.
Mrs Wright also said there was so much talent within the school and it deserved to be celebrated.
“A lot of kids do drama and music as an elective, but so many more do it as a hobby or extra curriculum.
“I’m very proud of each and everyone of them and it’s so exciting,” she said.
Nineteen acts including singing, dancing, comedians and bands performed at the talent show.
Mrs Wright said she was impressed with how each act got up on stage and performed in front of their peers.

“It’s an incredibly challenging thing to do, but the school as a whole supported each and every act, cheering, clapping and encouraging each person on the stage.
“The school was absolutely buzzing with spirit during and for many days after the event,” she said.
She also said at La Salle it was important to celebrate everyone’s talents, no matter what they were.
“Some may not be totally related to being in a classroom and learning in a formal education setting, but celebrating their interests and loves outside of school is so important,” she said.
Mrs Wright also thanked the judges who gave up their time for the event.
First place went to Patrick Woodrow on the piano, second place to Imogen Della Bosca who played the guitar and sang, and people’s choice went to Ben Swinton on the drums.
Each student received a gift voucher worth $50 for first place and $20 for second and people’s choice.
The talent show was expected to become an annual event.
