Quota Club of Lithgow celebrated Quota International’s World Service Program on Tuesday evening, November 20, at Fatima Hall.

There are 23 areas that Quota clubs support in the South Pacific area, including three areas in India, one in Malaysia, 16 in the Philippines and one in Suriname.
The assistance given is to educate women in the fields of budgeting, parenting, handicrafts and assertiveness so they can gain employment to look after their families.
Other clubs are assisting the Hearing Impaired and Deaf individuals, personal care for women in need, preschool and homes for the aged.
Guests came from Bathurst Quota Club to socialise with Lithgow members, husbands and friends.

Rhonda Kelly, as chairperson of this committee, with Rosemary Stanley and helpers provided a scrumptious dinner of homemade meat pies, peas and mashed potato with desert of pavlova, tea coffee and slices.
Another celebration was a presentation to Pam Kerrison who was presented with her 25 year certificate of service and bouquet of flowers. Pam was invited to cut her 25 year celebration cake which was made and decorated by Quotarian Margaret Hickie.
