A PUBLIC appeal for information has been launched following a robbery from two children in Lithgow on Friday.

Chifley Police District detectives from Lithgow are investigating the robbery which occurred about 2.50pm on Friday, November 16.
“A 12-year-old and 13-year-old girl were walking in George Coates Street, Lithgow on their way home from the pool,” a police statement said.
“A man described as early 20s, Caucasian, skinny build with a ginger beard has run up behind the girls and snatched their mobile phones before running off.

“He was last seen getting into an older model maroon four-door hatch.”
Detectives have urged anyone with information to contact Lithgow Police Station on 6352 8399 or Crime stoppers on 1800 333 000.
