The games were played at the Penrith Basketball Stadium on Monday, November 12 and Tuesday, November 13.
La Salle were up against teams from Illawara to the Hunter Valley and a range of schools around the region.
Monday saw the Year 7 and 8 boys compete in their pool coming away with one win and two close losses.
This pushed them into day two’s Plate Knockout sudden death match at 8.30 on Tuesday morning.
The team were up against Saint Edwards College Gosford and were unfortunately defeated 45 to 20 putting them in third place.
The boys played well according to teacher and assistant coach Wes Gibson.
“They were up against quite tall boys but they played well, there was great support and a great team effort,” he said.
Gibson also said stand outs during the competition were Blake Goldspink, Eli Morris and Jed Simcoe but every player contributed one hundred per cent.
He also wanted to extend his thanks to Scott Simcoe who helped coach the boys.
“Massive thanks to Scott for coaching and training the boys, we really appreciate it,” he said.
