Remembrance Day on November 11 is an occasion to honour our servicemen and women and remember those who gave their lives in service to their country.
At the event in Queen Elizabeth Park on Sunday morning, a new plaque was unveiled honouring the servicemen and women from World War I whose names were not previously listed on the memorial.
It was the result of a long-time project by Ian Burrett, who researched and compiled the names and said he was very pleased to see the plaque in place. A new Lone Pine has also been planted in Queen Elizabeth Park in tribute.
