The public will have the opportunity to see open artist studios in Kanimbla, Hartley, Lithgow and Portland.
25 artists in 20 studios will display their work from 10am-4pm over the two days.
Among those artists will be talented team Sandy and Tom Fullerton who specialise in embroidery textile mediums.
Sandy and Tom have worked in high end fashion, film work and art.
Their body of work ranges from George Lucas’ Star wars to the mitre of Pope Benedict XVI.
“Last year was our first year, we were very nervous especially because we’re letting people into our home,” Mrs Fullerton said.
But she said it was good because people could come in to their work space and see how it all works.
“It’s a big weekend but it’s fun and we get to meet some lovely people and show them our designs and how we make the patterns,” she said.
Mrs Fullerton also said it was a sensational weekend and she loved doing it for Lithgow.
“It’s great for Lithgow art tourism, it brings traffic into the town,” she said.
Mrs Fullerton said it took her 2 days to set everything up but it was worth it.
“The whole idea of it is to showcase artist studios and how it all works,” she said.
Visual artist and Lithgow Arts Trail publicity officer Annie Joseph said the event was a lot of fun and people loved to see the studios.
“It’s great fun and it’s a trail so you start at one end and work your way through the map seeing a variety of Lithgow’s artistic talent,” she said.

She also said it was only open once a year and there was lots to see.
There will be a range of art showcased including paintings, visual, blacksmith and metal, sowing, embroidery, ceramics, craft and photographic art.
“There is an amazing variety from Kanimbla to Portland and it’s free,” Ms Joseph said.
Ms Joseph also said as an artist it was like having her own personal exhibition and urged people to come along.
“It’s getting bigger and bigger every year, come and enjoy the local talent, Lithgow is a very artistic town,” she said.
She also said it was a great weekend to look at the lovely art and a beautiful drive around the country side.
