Lithgow’s branch of Quota International opened its annual art and craft fair at the Union Theatre on Friday night, October 19.

It was open again on Saturday, boasting a collection of handmade goods, including food, candles, gifts, toys, jewellery, clothing and more.
Lithgow Quota president Noela Williams said the organising committee had worked for nine to ten months to get the craft fair together and congratulated them on their success.
She said the funds raised at the event would go towards helping disadvantaged women and children within the community, as well as individuals who were hard of hearing or suffered from a speech impediment.
The event was officially opened by artist Linda Hine, who praised the Quota group as “an amazing body of people”.
It was a busy fundraising weekend for Quota, which went on to host a sold out gala dance high tea event at the Lithgow Workmen’s Club on Sunday, October 21.
