Lithgow Workmen’s Club lady bowlers hosted and participated in a Western District two-day carnival held at the Lithgow Workmen’s Club on Monday and Tuesday, October 23 and 24.

The 22 teams that represented were welcomed by Workmen’s Club lady bowlers club president Lesley Townsend.
Teams that participated included Hazelbrook, Wallerawang, Lithgow City, Lawson, Oberon, Lithgow Workies, Majellan and Penrith City.
The club held a raffle for the ladies and put on a delicious lunch for them to enjoy.
The overall winners on the day were from Majellan and included Merle Stevens, Sue Murray and Pauline Clark.

Runners-up went to Elvie Anderson, Barbara Watters, Ruth Harries and Beryl Evans from a Lithgow Workies team.
Third place went to another Lithgow Workies team that consisted of Barbara Kapusta, Kay Adams and Irene Piasevoli (skip).
Best card from the two days were Marie Stewart, Margaret Lalor, Cheryl Schram and Ina Hunter.
