Rain has already fallen this week, including during the Duke and Duchess’ visit to Dubbo on Wednesday, yet the entire region is still drought declared.
Lithgow is predicted to receive the most rainfall this weekend, Weatherzone data shows, with up to 60mm possible.
Also set to receive heavy falls is Mudgee (50mm), while Cowra, Dubbo, Orange and Wellington could receive as much as 30mm on the weekend.
In Bathurst, Oberon and Young 25mm of rain is predicted, while around 15mm could fall in Forbes and Parkes.
Further west, however, Weatherzone predict just 6mm of rain in Nyngan.
