The Marjorie Jackson statue has had an information board installed in front of her statue, detailing who she is and her achievements.

The board was installed on Tuesday, October 16.
The statue was moved to its new position on Monday, May 21 and has gone without a plaque or information board for over four months.
This has apparently caused some confusion with visitors from out of town not knowing who she was or confusing her with Betty Cuthbert.

During a protest for the statue to be moved in August, Marilyn McManus said that the statue at least needed a plaque to explain who she was and what she did for Lithgow.
“Tourists aren’t going to know who she is,” Mrs McManus said.
