Micro-chipping is important for lifetime traceability. The microchip means that if the cat or dog goes missing, an authorised person can identify the animal.
Puppies and kittens must be 12 weeks of age or older. Puppies and kittens under the age of six months must present with a copy of their health passport or immunisation certificates to be eligible for this service. Litters are not accepted under this program, only individual animals.
Local residents are urged to take advantage of this free service. No need to book, just turn up between 9am-12pm on Saturday, October 20.
