“We are really excited to be expanding our community program to include a writing workshop in Lithgow,” Amy Sambrooke, Varuna’s creative director, said.
“Madeline Oliver’s workshop - The Unbelievable Truth - sold out here in Katoomba during our writers’ festival so we are confident that people from Lithgow and surrounds are going to love it.”
“This is the first time we are expanding our reach regionally and we really hope we can tap into the local writing talent. Gang Gang Gallery is a vibrant creative space our workshop participants will enjoy as a backdrop for their creative inspiration.”

The workshop offers support to kick-start participants’ memoir or creative non-fiction writing, with tools to help identify what you really want to say, strategies to overcome blocks and how to develop a clear, simple plan for the future. Madeline Oliver is a published author and a Varuna Alumna who regularly facilitates writing workshops in Sydney.
