Mr Green was recognised for his actions in carrying out CPR on John Burrows after an explosion on Villiers Street in 2015. He directed people away from the area and stayed with Mr Burrows to render first aid, not knowing if there might be more explosions.
Mr Burrows died from his injuries.
Royal Life Saving NSW Chief Executive Officer, Michael Ilinsky, said it was vital to stop and shine the spotlight on unsung heroes of the community who applied “vital lifesaving skills in emergency situations”.
