Ex-Services were on the hunt for a Premier League Hockey win, which had eluded them for more than 12 months.
The blue and golds entered the clash on level pegging with Zig Zag in terms of the competition standings and scoring a win over the Lithgow outfit was crucial to the Orange side’s hopes of avoiding the wooden spoon.
Thanks to goals from Lilly Baker, Jade Williams and Rochelle Burcher, Ex-Services claimed that victory emphatically, winning 3-nil to push four points ahead of Zig Zag, the Lithgow side now sits outright last with three regular-season rounds remaining.
