Coach Trent Robinson says he's hoping to name Queensland Origin prop Napa for the clash of the top-four hopefuls at Allianz Stadium on July 29.
Napa has missed the past two weeks with a knee injury, including the Maroon's Origin III win, and will again be absent when the Roosters tackle Manly on Sunday.
Robinson revealed Napa had made positive improvement and they hoped to have him back next week.
"He's progressing well but we didn't name him this week," Robinson said.
"I'd like to get to next Tuesday and name him, that would be a positive for us."
Robinson said he was confident skipper Boyd Cordner had overcome the calf complaint that has plagued him for several weeks.
The NSW captain has missed the past two Roosters games but played through the pain in Origin game three.
He will be back for the tri-colours on Sunday and Robinson said he was showing no signs of being hindered.
"I thought he was quite good in his last game. With Origin he came through well and he recovered well and he's had a good week at training," Robinson said.
"That's really positive so he's back into the groove."
