Police attended McDonald’s at 3.20am on Sunday, July 15, after a man allegedly assaulted another customer in response to being hit with a quantity of tomato sauce.
Police said a 23-year-old customer was mucking around with a group of his friends, causing tomato sauce to squirt on another man who, police allege, then reacted aggressively.
Police enquiries into the incident are continuing.
The victim of the alleged assault, a 23-year-old man, was “playing around” with a group of friends when tomato sauce hit the other man, police said.
No one has been charged for the incident but police said their inquiries were continuing.

Owners charged for assault
A man and woman in their forties have been charged with assault after they allegedly confronted the occupants of a property the pair own in Lithgow.
Police said the confrontation was to do with damage to the property.
The pair were arrested at an address on Cook Street on Sunday, July 15, after allegedly assaulting two adults and a child living living at the address.
Police said the occupants sustained “no real injuries” but allege the pair made further threats towards the occupants after the confrontation.
The man and woman will appear at Lithgow Local Court.
Grass fire
Fire services were called to a large grass fire at a private property on Browns Gap Road at 2pm on Saturday, July 14.
The owners of the property were issued with a caution for permitting the fire to escape.
