Earlier this year I had issues with Australia Post re: late mail deliveries and, more importantly, non delivery or return of some mail articles.
With my assistance they conducted an exercise which ascertained that sample mail was being delivered in a reasonable time frame but there was no explanation as to what had happened to my missing mail.
I do not understand how they can be satisfied with Australia Post’s performance when so many people are having delivery problems.
Again I ask “where and why is the system failing?”
The reason I am asking this time is because recently, on June 26 I finally received a mail article that was mailed on June 13 from a post box about 30km south east of Brisbane.
It was then delivered to the wrong address in a little country town in Queensland named Wondai which is 241km north west of the capital, Brisbane.
It arrived there on June 15 and was generously mailed back into the postal service.
I thank those unknown residents for our final receipt of the article.
The article was clearly addressed with our correct name and address, post code and was postage stamped.
What more can we do to get quick, efficient reliable mail services?
The current ones are seriously not working!
