The Castlereagh Highway, between 4.4km and 7.8km north of Quarry Road, Ben Bullen will see the installation of vehicle activated signs at a cost of $145,000.
The work is part of the NSW Government’s Safer Roads Program, aiming to reduce the number of severity of crashes on our state’s roads, Member for Bathurst Paul Toole said.
Mr Toole said 64 per cent of the investment will be directed to regional NSW.
“Last year, 272 people killed on NSW roads were in the country, so this will go a long way to reduce the number of fatalities on regional roads,” Mr Toole said.
