All of the teams played hard and with true sportsmanship, but only two qualified for the grand finals.
Firstly the under 12 girls played two very exciting games on Saturday, both overtime games in division two, and won both to get to the grand final on Sunday. There they came up against the older Bathurst players.
They tried their little hearts out and never gave up but eventually went down to Bathurst 35-20.
The Under 14 boys also qualified for the grand final with two strong wins on Saturday. This game was most likely the most exciting game of the weekend as they were up against old rivals Dubbo. The game see-sawed back and forth but Dubbo prevailed to win 55 to 53. This was a division one game.
Under 12 boys, playing in division one, were defeated in the semi-final and did not qualify to go on further.
They are a young team and will only get stronger and more competitive in the future.
The Under 16 boys, playing in division one, also had a strong game and were unlucky to go down in the semi-final and took no further part in the weekend.
Under 18 boys, playing division two, had a good win in the semi but could not back this up in the final and were eliminated.
The Lithgow association, parents and sponsors are proud of the efforts of all the players and the commitments of the coaching staff in what the club has achieved so far in 2018.
