Law Week is a nationwide initiative to promote community awareness and understanding of the law, the legal system and the legal profession. The annual event is held in May and helps to promote public understanding of the law and its role in society.
Courts, legal agencies, solicitors, barristers, police and of course public libraries are all encouraged to get involved to help inform the public about services and programs that are available
The theme of Law Week for 2018 is “Law and Justice in Your Community”, with events that have been developed to include people from diverse backgrounds, organisations and perspectives.
