The Mount Victoria and District Historical Society, which runs the museum at the station, will celebrate 150 years of the railway to the village by holding an exhibition commencing on Saturday, May 5.

This commemorates the Governor's arrival by train on May 1, 1868 to declare the line open.
Trish Doyle MP has agreed to open the exhibition at 11am. Refreshments will be provided.
The exhibition takes the form of a photographic and multimedia display relating to the railway with text describing the impact over the years of the railway to the village of One Tree Hill as Mount Victoria was originally known. Various other attractions will be staged such as shingle splitting on site and a poetry recital relating to trains.
The Museum will be open for extended hours on the Saturdays, May 5 and 26, and Sunday, May 27 from 11am-4pm. Normal opening times weekends noon-3pm. The exhibition will run until January, 2019.
