The organisation thanked those people who supplied goods for the stall, also to those who supported the day by purchasing raffle tickets and the great home cooking.

The next fundraiser is the car boot sale to be held this Saturday, April 28 at Fatima Hall, on the corner of the Great Western Highway and Tweed Road, from 8am.

There are still car and table spaces available for $10. There will be a barbecue available, also homemade cakes.

On Friday, May 11 there be a Mother’s Day stall at The Valley Plaza. There will be a great Mother’s Day Raffle, hand craft and home-cooked cakes, slices etc.

For those who like to see a good movie without leaving town, Can Assist is holding a movie night at the Community Cinema, screening ‘Jackie’.

On Monday night a group of members attended another fun night at the Vale Ladies Bingo.

“These hard working generous ladies have supported us since we first started,” member Margaret Burns said.  

“We thank them sincerely for their continued support.

“Due to the generous support of many local businesses, organisations and the local community we are now able to help more locals who are going through cancer treatment.”
