Motorcycle rider dies at Wentworth Falls

A motorcycle rider died in a two vehicle crash at Wentworth Falls.

Police and emergency services were called to the Great Western Highway near Tableland Road at 11:30am on Sunday morning.

Officers from the Blue Mountains Police Area Command found the rider, a man in his ‘70s, in a critical condition.

He died at the scene.

The driver of the car received minor injuries and was taken to hospital for testing.

Police are appealing to community members who may have information to come forward.

The Great Western Highway is closed in both directions and diversions are in place.

Motorists are being advised to use Bells Line of Road and Darling Causeway.
