It was a huge weekend of golf at the Lithgow Golf Club with Rob George and Andrew Burton picking up the Easter goodies.

The main event over the holiday period was the Easter tournament with the overall handicap winner being Rob George while the overall scratch event went to club champion Andrew Burton.
George played some of his best golf to return a 66 nett while Burton continued his championship form with a one under 71 off the stick.

In the grade scores the winners, runners up and scratch winners were:
A grade: Troy Luka 68 nett; Justin Nelson 69 nett and Bill Oldfield 71.
B grade: Gary Keen 67 nett ocb; Corey Oldfield 67 nett and Rob Hawes 80.
C grade: Ben Futcher 68 nett; Tom Jennings 69 nett and Brendan Van Veen 91.
Nearest the pins saw Harry Bender go within three centimetres of recording his first hole in one.
The other awards went to Justin Nelson, Paul Stewart, Gary Keen and Bill Oldfield.
There were two Ambrose events held over the Easter break sponsored by the Workies Golf Club.
Good Friday saw a three person ambrose with the winning vouchers going to the team of Ian Nightingale, Luke Bennett and Chris Anlezark. The trio finished with a score of 53 and four sixths.
Runners up were Ross King, Chris Goodsell and Wayne Morris on 57 and one sixth.
Balls cut out on 61 nett and the nearest to the pins were Chris Goodsell and Ben Oldfield.
On Easter Monday, a two person ambrose was held at the club.
The winners were Paul Cinat and S McCann on 58 and three quarters while the runners up voucher went to husband and wife team Kyle and Ross Harrington on 59 nett.
Balls cut out on 63 and three quarters and the nearest to the pins went to Bill Oldfield and Brian Bourke.
It will be another big day of golf tomorrow when the Lithgow Golf Club holds another major event, the Mount Piper Plate.
