The Lithgow Public School student is now the under 12s state javelin champion, after taking gold in the event held at the Sydney Olympic Park Athletics Centre.
The gold was secured with a massive throw that was just short of 38m.
Not content with gold, Angus came home with a suite of medals.
He won silver in the shot put with a personal best of 12.77m using the 3kg shotput, which put him just 9cm behind the gold medal throw.
Angus finished with bronze in the discus event with a competition personal best of 40.67.
Angus and his family sent a big thank you to his coach, Springwood based Rick Berrell, for the countless hours of training that went into his preparation.
It has been an exciting few weeks for Angus. He was named player of the series at the recent Peachey-Richardson Cup day and has been part of the Group 10 representative side.
A busy season of rugby league is expected for Angus in the coming months.
