Campus coordinator Christine Haley said she was very happy to see so many Lithgow people interested in training to become nurses.
“Health is Lithgow’s number one employer and I think people are recognising that nursing is a broad career offering lots of options for people,” she said.
“There is a predicted nursing shortage in the next decade, so there will be plenty of opportunities – including opportunities to travel overseas.”
The Lithgow campus has been attracting many students from the Mountains as well, attracted by easier parking and traffic.
