Catholic Church Groups
Gorrie Ban ‘Caring for the aged and lonely’: Runs each Monday at 10.00am except during December, January and public holidays. Held at Fatima Hall, GWH, Bowenfels. New members and volunteers are always welcome. Transport can be arranged. For more information please ring 6351 3092. Parishioners are welcome to join the day trips (ring first). The program for the next two weeks is advertised in the parish bulletin, which is displayed in the window of St Patrick’s Church, Lithgow.

Social Justice Group: Usually meet the second Thursday of month at 5pm. Venue: Portland Parish Centre located behind St Joseph’s School and St Vincent’s Church, Portland. All interested in social justice is encouraged to attend.
Josephite Associates: Held on second Tuesday of each month in Church meeting room at St Patrick’s church after 12.30 mass.
Ecumenical Prayer: Third Wednesday of the month, at 2pm in the Mary MacKillop Chapel (located inside St Patrick’s Church.) All welcome in this ecumenical prayer time.
Holy Hour: held on second Saturday of the month, at 10.00am at St Patrick’s church.
Home Rosary: Held every Tuesday evening at 7pm. Please contact the Presbytery for more information.
Word and Faith Group: Held each Monday evening at 4.30pm. Please contact the Presbytery for more information.
St Vincent De Paul Society: ‘Helping those in need’. Vinnies is always looking for new volunteers. Meetings held every second Monday at 11.00am at the centre.
Catholic Women’s League (CWL): Fourth Tuesday of the month, 3.00pm at Fatima Hall (1102 GWH, next to the BP Garage.)
Youth Group: Call La Salle Academy for dates and times of events.
The Bathurst Catholic Diocese offers an annual youth festival for years 6-9. Date: 2018 TBA. Please contact the Presbytery for further details.
