Jade Boyd, 34, pleaded guilty to being armed with intent to commit an indictable offence. The court heard she looked through the bedroom window of a couple’s Lithgow home on October 19 last year, held up the 20cm long knife and threatened to slit the woman’s throat.
Shortly after making the threat, the residents saw a garden hose snaking out of the front yard. The owner saw Boyd carrying the hose into her home, which was nearby.
According to the police report, she came out onto the street to moon the owner of the property before police arrived. She attempted to run, was arrested and placed in police custody.
Once in a cell at Lithgow Police Station, Boyd took a handful of toilet paper, dipped them in the toilet and threw it at the CCTV camera multiple times until the view of the cell was obscured.
On top of her suspended jail term, Boyd was placed on a 15 month good behaviour bond for stealing the hose, fined $330 for behaving in an offensive manner in a public place and another $330 for damaging a police cell.
