Lithgow plays three straight home games with a bye in the mix in the competition’s opening month, meaning Osborne won’t have to negotiate a road trip until round five, which is to Orange to face premiers CYMS.
The flip side of that, though, is Lithgow doesn’t play at Tony Luchetti from May 20 until July 8 – a span of eight rounds.
Lithgow snuck into fifth on the 2017 ladder and in order to again qualify for semi-finals this winter, Osborne says, Workies is eyeing off eight wins.
“To play in the end of season semi-finals your teams needs to win in the vicinity of 50 per cent of their games,” he said.
“So regardless of the draw teams need to perform both at home and away during the entire season.”
Lithgow kicks off the Group 10 season on April 8 at Tony Luchetti against St Pat’s.
