Festivities will commence at 4.30pm on Sunday, December 31 for a drug and alcohol free event.
There will be musical entertainment by Momentum, and free jumping castles and face painting for the kids.
For you older ones try your luck and bring a fishing rod or have a paddle in a dragon boat.
Pack your own picnic or indulge in food stalls such as Big Daddy’s Pizza and coffee by the Tin Shed.
A barbecue will be run by the Wallerawang Baseball Club.
Wallerawang Lidsdale Progress Association is hoping the event will be popular and become annual.
“We are hoping it will be such a big success that an annual event will ensue and from the feedback we’ve gotten so far everyone is super excited,” Wallerawang Lidsdale Progress Association secretary Ros Francis said.
“We also want to bring a little fun and excitement into the lives of many who might not get the chance to see up close, fantastic displays of pyrotechnical delight.”
She also said they wanted the event to be a happy gathering, to make everyone aware how important family was, especially at this time of year.
The Wallerawang Community and Sports Club will be running a bus transport service to and from the event.
Buses can be caught from Portland, Wallerawang or Lidsdale. Call now and book a seat on 6355 1434.
The event will conclude at 9pm with a fireworks display lighting up the lake.
Adults are welcome to continue celebration into the New Year at the Wallerawang Community and Sports Club.
Ms Francis also said the association were grateful for a $3000 grant toward the event, provided by Lithgow City Council.
