Lithgow Mayor Stephen Lesslie and General Manager Graeme Faulkner met with SES representatives region controller Craig Ronan and business manager Kerrie Pearce in Bathurst in October to thank them for their efforts in securing the funding for the Lithgow area.
“The importance of the SES to all our communities including Lithgow cannot be overstated and we are very grateful to Craig and Kerrie for their efforts in achieving funding for SES infrastructure in Lithgow,” Councillor Lesslie said.
“I know that both the RFS and SES are always punching above their weight in the services they provide to our community and this funding effort by Craig can only help enhance that service continuity.”
Cr Lesslie was also pleased to note that a local business would be constructing the shed, giving a small boost to business in the Lithgow area.
For help in an emergency in a flood, storm or tsunami call the SES on 132 500.
