Busy helping another lady into the Lithgow Men’s Shed on Saturday afternoon, October 14, Ms MacDonald did not notice her necklace had come unclipped and dropped off into the grass.
The sparkly caught the attention of a passing pooch, who delivered it to its owner.
The helpful owner knocked on the door of the closest building, the Men’s Shed, and its owner was quickly found.
“I didn’t even know I’d dropped it. By the time I realised it was missing, I probably wouldn’t have known where to look,” she said.
“I want to thank that dog and the man who handed it in.”
One of the helpful men at the Men’s Shed completed the rescue, fixing the clasp of the necklace before returning it.
