La Salle Academy invited the community in to see the finished products, which were the results of months of labour. Each of the works was independently marked as part of the HSC process, contributing to students’ final assessment scores in art, industrial design, drama and music.
La Salle Academy’s drama and music students performed on the night, including a short film, a musical piece by Paige McNamara and group drama performances. Helayna Howard’s monologue, Beauty by Britt, styled from a beauty blog, had everyone laughing.
The short film Ghost Town by Rebecca Drury-Doohan explored a Lithgow teen’s experience on realising that her town has been evacuated and she has been left behind.
In a special musical event, Time Zone performed the Twenty One Pilots song Heathens, with Cian O’Regan on vocals and guitar, Lewis Hammonds on drums and Tyler Buck on bass.
NOTE: Images of the visual art major works could not be photographed due to NSW restrictions on reproducing images that have not yet been independently assessed. The industrial design works have already been marked.
