A 41-year-old woman will face Lithgow Local Court on Friday, May 26, charged with the theft of items amounting to more than $1000 in value.
The thefts took place between 9.30am and 12pm on May 25, targeting stores including a newsagent, fashion store, a gift shop, two clothing stores, two charity stores and a department store.
Items stolen included a mobile phone, men’s and women’s clothing, confectionery, tobacco products and ladies underwear.
Retailers noticed items missing and reported them to police, who accessed CCTV footage from several stores.
The 41-year-old woman, who gave a Lithgow address, was arrested and charged on Friday morning, May 26.
