Portland Colts’ first win of the season, 36-10 over Kandos Waratahs, elevated them to equal standing with the Waratahs on four points, both clubs sitting just behind CSU who picked up two competition points with their bye.
Orange Barbarians hosted Villages United but, despite the home-ground advantage, went down 32-12 to the Bathurst club.
Wallerawang had it all their own way in their home game, and the 38-6 halftime score suggested a big total by game’s end, the Warriors piling on 46 unanswered points in the second half for a final 84-6 scoreline.
Bears’ fullback Blake Collins found his job a confronting one with wave after wave of Warriors charging through his side’s front line, but with astute backing-up by Wallerawang players he struggled to stem the flow of points, with brothers Darren and Wes Monds among the best on field.
In leaguetag, Wallerawang continued their dominance, along with Kandos both unbeaten and sitting on top of the ladder. The Warriettes defeated Lithgow 54-0, and at Kandos the Tiaratahs beat Portland Fillies 22-12.
The other games resulted in wins for Villagettes 12-6 over Orange, with no results available from the CSU derby.
