The Lazers went down by 23 points in a low-scoring contest after they had defeated the Wagga Heat by 31 points in March.
The Heat smothered the Lazers with strong defence from the start to run out 69-46 winners.
“We were hungry to get a win back on them, we knew we could, we just missed a lot of shots in that first game,” Wagga captain Zac Maloney said.
“They were missing a couple of players last night, which was unfortunate for them.”
Matt Pebole of the Heat top scored for both sides with 24 points while Maloney downed 19.
Top scorers for Lithgow were Ben Newham with 12 points and Adam Marjoram with 10.
Young Lazer Mitch Gurney also chipped in with five points of his own.
Lithgow will travel away again this weekend to face the Illawarra Hawks before returning home to play the St George Saints on June 3.
The team hopes import Addison Flynn, who has been averaging 25 points a game, will be able to fly back from the States before this Saturday’s contest.
It is predicted Lazers big man John Fenton could return to the court in around six weeks as he recovers from a knee injury suffered in April.
