Michael Booby, 22, lit his mattress on fire and propped it against the door of his cell on December 28, 2016.
As correctional officers doused the fire, Lithgow Local Court heard the inmate threw small items at the cell’s perspex windows.
Later, it was found he had also ripped the toilet bowl from the wall.
He was charged with intentionally damaging property and sentenced in Lithgow Local Court on May 11 to four months imprisonment from May 11 to September 10, 2017, to be served concurrently with his existing sentence.
His non-parole period for his original sentence will conclude in December this year.
Drug driving disqualification
A Bowenfels man has been disqualified from driving for six months and fined $450 for drug driving.
Dylan John Leonard, 23, of Pirena Place, Bowenfels, was pulled over by police on the Castlereagh Highway on November 13, 2016 for a random breath test.
The breath test was negative but a sample of his oral fluid was positive for cannabis and methylamphetamine.
He was found guilty of driving with a motor vehicle with an illicit drug in his system at Lithgow Local Court on May 11.
