The green thumbs worked together to set out dozens of native plants alongside the waterway on the corner of Macauley and Guy Street.
The planting day was held to mark the release of the draft Farmers Creek Master Plan for public comment.
The master plan aims to optimise the use of the open space surrounding Farmers Creek from the tourist information centre through to Lake Pillans.
This will include the installation of walking and cycle paths as well as other recreational developments.
The community planting day was made possible through funding and support from Lithgow City Council’s project partners Local Land Services, Lithgow Oberon Landcare Association and Central West Councils Environment and Waterways Alliance.
Visit the Lithgow City Council website to have your say on the draft Farmers Creek Precinct Master Plan.
Submissions close at 4:30pm on Friday, May 19.
